Contracts Manager


Established over 30 years ago, my client is a leading building contractor developer well known around the Canberra region. With numerous on-going development projects ranging from $40Mil - $100Mil+ they are now in the process of hiring new staff due to the growth of their project portfolio for the 2012 - 2013 period.


They are now in the market for a Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent fulltime basis. This position will allow the successful applicant the opportunity to report directly to a Construction Manager, dealing with all facets of head, sub contractor and supplier contracts. Projects range from medium to large density apartment locks all located across the ACT. Assistance from senior and junior administration, estimating and management staff is offered plus the benefit of an established construction/administration system. The head office is based in the centre of the ACT but at times you would be required to work on-site.


To be considered for this role you will need the following experience and qualifications;

· Minimum 10 years Contracts Administration or Contracts Management experience

· Qualified with a degree or diploma in Construction Management or a similar field

· Extensive experience in management of construction contracts such as Head Client Contracts. Building Codes of Australia and Australian Standards (AS4000)

· Proven track record of working for reputable builders and developers (ideally local organisations)


The salary is open for negotiations and will be based through experience. Vehicle allowances and other benefits are negotiable plus yearly and project bonuses are already in place.
