We impress on our clients that any of the information we gather, shall remain private and confidential and should not be disclosed to any other parties without permission.

Personal and Sensitive information will be collected from you directly when you complete one of our candidate registration forms or provide any other information in connection with your application to us for registration.

Personal information is any information about you which includes your work experience, qualifications and references about your work performance and other information obtained by us in connection with your possible work placements. Sensitive Information is any information that is private about you, including membership of professional association or a trade union, criminal record, health or disability (at any time) etc. Sensitive information can only be disclosed at your consent.

Your personal and sensitive information will be collected by D & C Building Careers Pty Ltd for its own use and on behalf of other internal departments of D & C Building Careers Pty Ltd who may require access to your personal and sensitive information in connection with your work placements. Personal and sensitive information will be collected from you directly when you register by phone or internet in connection with being registered or considered for placement. Personal and sensitive information may also be collected when we receive: any reference about you, any information about a workplace accident in which you are involved or we receive any complaint from or about you in the workplace. Furthermore this information may be provided by you and could include medical tests, computer skill assessments and any other personal details.

Your personal and sensitive information may be used in connection with possible work placements, performance appraisals, our assessment of your ongoing performance and prospects, any test or assessment (includes medical tests and assessments) that you might have to undergo, our identification of your training needs, any workplace rehabilitation, our management of any complaint, investigation or inquiry in which you are involved, any insurance claim or proposal that requires disclosure of your personal or sensitive information.

Your personal and sensitive information may be disclosed to: potential and actual employers and clients of D & C Building Careers Pty Ltd; referees; our insurers; a professional association or registration body that has proper interest in the disclosure of your personal and sensitive information.

Should you not choose to give D & C Building Careers Pty Ltd the information we seek we may be limited in our ability to locate suitable work for you and may be limited in our ability to place you in work.

Subject to some exemptions which are set out in the national Privacy Principles (Principle 6 – Access & Correction) you have a right to see and have a copy of personal and sensitive information about you that D & C Building Careers Pty Ltd hold. If for any reason you are able to establish that personal or sensitive information that we hold about you is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, we will take reasonable steps to correct it so that it is accurate and up-to-date.
